Parallel Check-In
About Parallel Check-In
Parallel Check-In is an original urban-fantasy anime series in development, created and written by Will D. Huggins Jr. This is the project’s official home for its story, scripts, characters, concept films, and pitch materials.
The story
In San Francisco’s Japantown, the Sato family’s hotel welcomes travelers from parallel worlds. Ami Sato helps guests find their Anchors and a way home. Hospitality, family, and the small truths that survive between worlds shape the series.
San Francisco landmarks and neighbourhood settings ground the story’s journeys. The Sato Hotel provides a recurring home for its guests and the series’ central family.
Will D. Huggins Jr. — creator and writer
Will D. Huggins Jr. is the creator and writer of Parallel Check-In. The revised Episode One pilot, “The Interruption,” is dated August 17, 2026; the original June 26, 2026 draft is also available for comparison.
The scripts are human-written. AI-assisted concept films and images are early development and pitch materials, rather than finished series animation. The AI Use Statement explains that process.
